It was a boring afternoon. I took a stroll at Clark. Yes. It was cold and windy. Not to mention the eerie quietness that fills the atmosphere. Very rural yet industrialized I should say, with all the giant companies everywhere. Haha.
Along the way, I smelled incense -- and I thought that someone must have died. You know, that type of scaring yourself to death? HAHA. However, the smell intensified -- and it is really weird, for I have been treading this walking path for so long and I have not smelled that before.
To my shock, I saw two zombies -- yes, zombies -- with the red blood dripping from their faces, the black burns creating a texture on their skin and the eyes that will make you run for your life at a contact to you. HAHAHA. I was like stunned for it was such an open space to have zombies roaming around. Though the pedestrian count is very minimal, it is still a public place. And was I dreaming? ZOMBIES?
ZOMBIES? I thought to myself again. There are like dozens of people in here right now, and it is dark. Past six in the evening I guess. What's with the crowd here?
Afar, there are lights. Yes, lights -- bright lights covering a huge area. I do not know if it is allowed to pass by. I might be in a middle of a fight or something. Instantly, I noticed several advanced equipment and gadgetry surrounding the place, and I am having a clue as to what is going on.
Then, I approached a clump of people. *Walk. Walk. Walk.* I dug deep into the crowd, and my jaw just dropped as I get nearer and nearer. Directly in front of me is Richard Gutierrez and Eugene Domingo. (JUST A FEW INCHES AWAY! Waahhh. Gaaah. Richard made me feel so down in terms of my physical appearance. Waahhh!) Shooting pala! :D
P.S.
I stood there for like an hour, and I was amazed at how tedious can taking a single scene be. All the elements must be in its proper place, appear at the right time and be projected at the right manner. Everything was just complete -- the smoke effects, the abandoned building decorated with hearts, the littered floor, the dead carcasses of the extras, the lights, the camera and the action. The set was just awesome. It was advanced and conducive for efficient moviemaking -- and I was at awe at how they make movies -- I thought most movies take little effort to make, only to be elaborated by the lengthy cast and crew at the credits of the film. Only two scenes (in seven takes) were taken in an hour.
By the way, Eugene is still a comic off-cam, and she's friendly with the usisero't usisera. But the overall air of the shooting is serious, little laughter (or any sign of happiness) can be heard (well, that was except when one of the acting zombies actually fell asleep on the set, because they were told not to move and pretend dead).
The scene was this..
Richard drove to the abandoned building (with hearts all over and two big banners "SALE"); they unboarded the vehicle, and Eugene started complaining about the smell, then they entered the building.
The next scene that they took was they went out of the building, and Eugene wants to play tennis with Richard. The film was like under Regal Films I guess (?). and I was with Mr. Fu!! HAHA!
LOL. what a day. :))
